    24v battery trickle charger

Both batteries share the load equally when cranking (starter load). He left his headlights on, that is why his front battery was dead and why jumping it worked! This thread is about as screwed up as it can get. People are contradicting each other, and talking pure BS. If you do not know the...

    24v battery trickle charger

Preventative maintenance is always a good policy. My point was, you can leave a battery tender connected to each battery all the time. Wire 2 up permanently(if you think you need that). I don't think much of them, but Harbor Freight has trickle chargers for less than $5, and you could easily...

    24v battery trickle charger

I am not opposed to using battery tenders/solargisers. He said his battery shop recommended a 24v charger. I said I do not, and that 2 separate chargers is a better choice. Charging 2 12v batteries in series with a 24v charger is not the BEST choice. Specifically with his CUCV, that does...

    24v battery trickle charger

    24v battery trickle charger

The front battery does all the 12v stuff(like a normal truck). You left your light on, so the front battery went dead. The rear battery is used in series(in-line) with the front battery for starting and GP power. Each battery has it's own charging system. I was using an analogy(it was not a...

    24v battery trickle charger

You have 2 separate batteries that have their own charging systems. They are not used equally in a cucv, like they are in a 2.5 ton or 5 ton truck. The best way to charge them is, individually. That is how you would use a 24v charger.

    24v battery trickle charger

    no, it's electricity, not water.

    24v battery trickle charger

My opinion is, you would be better off with 2 separate 12v trickle chargers.
