    So, I guess its safe to say... historic registration might be the way, but what about the bobbing it? Does it really qualify as "historic"?? You see, I want to use mine more as a occasional driver... I wamt to drive to the trails and wheel around then drive home, I want to go to the store...

    That sounds like good news to me... thats what I wanted 2 do... When you register your bobbed deuce are they going to reissue a weight certificate or are you just going to list it as whatever weight is already on the title... registering a 26k vehicle is going to be expensive in...

    just so everyone knows... there is a historic exclusion... but I want to use mine, not just look at it.... also there are smog laws for diesels 1998 model year and newer 8501 lbs and less... Any body know where the exclusion for the 26k lbs deuce falls? I don't see anything that says higher...

    11echo.... I saw the thread on that... but mine shows I'm curious to see if the vehicle can be reregistered as a HD pickup.... I want the big truck, without the commercial b.s.... and If I'm correct they are keeping these laws to Commercial vehicles over 14k....??

    Does anybody know how the new smog laws for diesels are going to affect the deuce?? I know its a multi fuel but it still falls into the diesel engine category...Also it seems that the burning of the alternative fuels(WVO,UMO,ATF.....) would cause more smoke and therefore you could get caught by...
