Mine is just about done. I was driving it for a couple days, then had some turbo problems and some injection pump problems, but it drives and rides very, very nicely.
Start looking around. They show up in odd places. A guy in Pirate4x4 says he found some in a local junk yard, he might sell one. Post 63 here.

Some times TAWL_BOY on Pirate4x4 has one for sale, you might want to pm him or...
34052 from Rapco. 2 gallons and a case of spray paint. I will probably use every drop of it, might need more?

Rebuild guide, great pictures, general idea about the parts involved and how to do the work.
I have been following along with your e-mails on the list, but for whatever reason my e-mails do not show up when I send them. Oh well.
I have whats left of my CJ10 harness, I am wiring mine from (mostly) scratch, I can send it out to you if you would like it. I was planning on snagging some...
Heat has finally broken down here. I found a pickup tool box that will house my fuel tank and batteries, and have some room left over. I was pretty amazed how well a fullsize pickup truck tool box fit on the 101 trailer.
I got the motor in (hopefully) for the final time. I have the charge...
353 will fit just fine, 453 will take a bigger shoehorn. But dont let that stop you!
There is a lot of room in the frame and between the the floor and the bottom of the frame, a 453t with a set of jakes, medium duty 10 speed transmission and a divorced 205 would be an awesome combo! Just...
The deals are out there, I picked up a SD33T for 300 bucks recently. The motor is essentially scrap metal to most people, unless they have an interest in it. Look in Craigslist for "scout diesel" or the like. A lot of the ones on the boards go for much more money.
How are you going to adapt...
The Cummins do not cavitate nearly as bad as other engine designs for a couple reasons, but everything looked really good when I tore it down and had it hot tanked, other than some wear on the cyls. The crank was actually oversized and cleaned up nicely with some polishing. Cyl walls were...
The 4bt is easy to work on, it just sucks down money like it is going out of style. It should be cool when its done.
A friend of mine saw this pass him on a trailer so I thought I should look up some pictures. It is clean!

Bunch of pics in that set
Occasionally someone else posts in it. I don't think "auxillary equipment" gets as much traffic as some of the other forums on here8-)
Injection pump is still out getting worked on. As is my luck with this motor from **** the injection pump needs a complete rebuild. But it will get done...
I asked jscherb about rear windows, he seems to know more about oddball Jeep hard tops than anyone else I have ever seen. He had no clue about where to get replacements. I am putting a pretty beefy headache rack in front of my bed just because the rear window is so hard to find. I think the...
It takes a lot of time and effort to make it "simple", thats for sure. A lot of people do not understand that. It takes time to make it look like it always existed, not like you cooked it up in your driveway. I spent a lot of time on my CJ7 and it takes people 5-10 minutes to figure out they...
I am going mine in OD green, no markings. The wifey shot it down! Oh well. She puts up with a lot.
I would run 4.88s at least and keep the tire size 35 or less for running around town with the stock engine. 100 HP is not much to work with! I think it would be much better with a manual too...
