OK, his hydraulic head and the bottom gear thingy were removed as a unit! No broken plunger yet. I would pull the half "C" spring retainers before you try to tap the plunger out.
Its hard to say. From looking at your pics, it seems as if your plunger is broken in 2. There is a plunger in the pic of your Hydr head and there is a plunger in the bottom gear that spins the IP.
Any bottom pics of the HH or top pics of the drive gear thingy?
You need to pull the fuel stop out of the side before you do that and then a couple other things. Post a pic so we know what we are telling you to do is right.
Well, I got like 60 of them in an auction. Most are just crap, but the parts are still good. I did manage to get like 6 new ones, so I have some spares for my 2 "003s".
How to get the block out? The plunger has to be removed for that. What I have done in the past is push down on the bottom, while someone with a small pick, prys out the two retaining "C" clip thingys. (good technical term right there!) The plunger should move freely after that. On a side note...
That block with the slot in it should move up and down on the shaft freely. A Bic pen cap could be used if you like, probably even a tooth pick. PM headed your way.
