Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

Wow, thats gotta let SO much dirt through! The 5ton air filter is only rated at like 550 vs the stock deuce element of 410, and its HUGE.

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

Have you verified the air filter is good? I swappex out an LDS for LDT and was horrified at the power loss, till I swapped in a new air filter, now its back to similar power levels.

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

Sorry to hear of the grief they are giving you. I doubt anything will happen as its obvious the vendors(not all of them) have been given free range to spam the he!! out of our board. Its a shame they can spam our forum with no re-guard to their business practices.

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

We should start a "worthless vendor" list and add it to the stickeys. I have known not to buy from Eastern or TnJ Murry for a while now.

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

I never even thought about it, i probably had a flywheel from LDS427 in the barn. I'd love for you to put your new heads one the motor you got from me, to see if they were the issue of the piston rings not seating, but thats a lot of work!

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

Let me know when I need to get your motor ready. I'll need about a weeks notice.

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

I'd just tow that 939 series truck for an hour, that should break the rings in right.

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

    That, and the NSN...
  19. gimpyrobb

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

...and did you measure the pistons to see if you could put the LDT rings on the LDS piston?

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

Using the same pistons didn't work too well the first time, might as well try some goofy sh!t...
