    Investigating what? I have put a LDS motor in my truck and I have 395s on it. Thats about the best I can do other than going way custom. I still plan on putting a 5ton air filter on to help her breath better, but thats for later on.

    David, there is very little difference in the trucks not because of the bed or weight or tires, but the trucks axles and motor.     If the seals are pliable and the bore is good, I'd run it! I wouldn't put that hex cap back on though, you want something with a vent.

    If you haven't tested the injectors, I'd bet its an injector knock. When you say the axle is sloppy, you talking about the pinion? Where the drive shaft connects?

    As stated, I soak mine in grease, works good for me. I service my brakes and bearings after I go mudding every time, so I'm in there a lot.
