    Air Dryer for an M35A2

No, it keeps the water from freezing in the winter. Can't blow the water out if its frozeded. When the governor sends out the signal to "turn off air" thats when the air drier expels the collected water.

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

So is the general consensus that the cross-member behind the air tanks is the best location?

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

I bought it to install with my air assist steering kit. I want to protect the expensive kit(and the expensive air pack) from moisture. The air assist has not been installed yet, so neither has the dryer. I have a plan, just no plan to execute it!

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

LD(haha that reminds me of learning disabled) any way, you want to mount that as far away from the compressor as you can. If you mount it close, the air will not have time to cool down and let the water separate from the air. Hot air will hold the moisture right through that filter if it is...

I'll see if I can post the installation PDF when I get home.

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

I completely understand, for me it is a price point. I got what I wanted and the price was right. Having options is a good thing. I just wanted the boys to know the 939 series used the pure air plus too.

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

Thats still a LOT of money there guys. Get an air dryer off someone parting a truck out(the 939 series use the pure air plus too) and get the rebuild kit. You'll be into it for about $200.

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

Hellz no! Its like 7* here right now. That will be a job for later. I did find an installation manual that gives specifications on how far from the air comp. to mount it and to put it in the air line before the "wet" tank though. I think on a deuce(A2) the perfect spot would be in the tool box...

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

There has to be something to it, most of the air dryers I have seen have been mounted to the frame.

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

So my air dryer showed up, now I need to decide where to plumb it in the air system. I am thinking of putting it under the hood. Is there a better place to install them?

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

I never thought about that. Will the alcohol system give the air dryer fits?

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

Bringing this thread back. I ended up getting one of the A3 type air dryers. The guy selling it was worried that it is listed in the CTIS(should use lots of air) section of the A3 TM. In all of the searching I have done, NONE of the air dryers for trucks list a cfm. Is this a concern I need to...

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

What does the heat do? I know I got a refrigerated compressed air dryer for my shop air and that cold makes the condensation drop out. I don't see how heat can help.
