    Just so it has been put out there, I grabbed a rotary barrel pump today and tested it. If someone wants to convert one to a "powered" unit, you will need a motor that has about an 85rpm speed. Mine might receive a conversion. ;)

    Your best/cheapest route is to build one of the SBC oil pumps on a 110 or 24v motor.

    Is there an exposed nut holding the handle on? Jam a socket in a gear reduced drill and pump away! I have done that many times. Edit, that will only work on a rotary pump.
