I understand your question. The answer I posted was dealing with 3ph vs single phase, no converters accounted for, just power vs power.

I've been trying, but I can't get a picture that was texted to me onto my pc! Wait till you see the new one.

    - Power in a 3 phase power supply never drops to zero but in single phase the power falls to zero three times. Therefore for a 3 phase power supply the power delivered is the same at all times. - Smaller conductors can be used in 3 phase power supplies and therefore it makes it 3 phase more...

Going to get it tomorrow! I'm pretty sure he plans on using the eye bolt in the top of it to load. I will make sure it is overly secured to the trailer. I made sure I paid the extra insurance so if they complain about holes drilled, well "its insured!". :)

It is actually a small mill in comparison, some Bridgeports weigh in at 4klbs. This one is 1500-2000.

Those wheels will be removed for transport. I don't wanna drive for two hours watching this thing shift back and forth! I'm even thinking about running some all thread through the trailer deck to make sure it stays put.

You wouldn't want the "drill press". its an old barn beam style that I put a treadmill motor on so I could have infinate speeds. I think another buddy has laid claim on it, I will let you know if not.

Pretty sure its a GMT taper. The seller made an adapter for R-8s and included a bunch of them. From what I've read the stock collets only go up to 1/2inch.

Dunno yet. It took me about a year before I started using the lathe I bought. Usually I read a lot and don't much use the tool till I need sumptin made. It took me almost a year to fix my plasma cutter after the torch head burnt out. Its real nice using it now though! My tool fetish is pretty big.
