Interesting Brandon. I know I have run some fuel with gas in it in the wrecker, but it was a very minor amount. Pretty sure SWB's truck had not seen any during his ownership. Oh well, guess we could re-name this thread "as the crank turns" or better yet, "as the crank snaps"! Seems like we have...
Short work on the truck today. We installed and adjusted a couple things, the fired her up! Next is to put on the rad, trans, and sheet metal.
Then go do doughnuts in the yard!
NO need to tell SWB what he "should"do while the motor is out. SWB plans on selling this one as soon as the motor is back in. Pretty sure he's going to sell it to Crusher's neighbor Dmaxcc6spd! We'll let him worry about it!
BWAAAAAAAAHahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
The motor is ready to come out. It could have been out last night, but SWB got his 30 day tags for the 813 and wanted to get it ready to drive to breakfast. Looks like we are waiting on the replacement motor to show up(no not really), so we can install the flux capacitor kit and maybe photon...
That top I-beam used to be 20ft wide. It was rated at 1ton at 20ft span. You can tell where it had been cut down. I can say that with confidence as the on Steve's brother got is still 20ft wide.
I'm headed down to see Matt, but should be back around 3-4. Why don't you just meet me at Crusher's and we can load up another motor to put in it? Start taking the wires and rad out/off.
I dunno that its a ventilated block. I went over and looked, no holes to be seen. I did see this crack, but I'm not sure if its casting flash or not.
I am voting for a blown headgasket and a piston liner busted.
