    Stanadyne FM100 Spin-on Filter Install

She is going with me!!!!!! Between Kipman and myself, we have 1500 of these filters. I can NOT find the gen 2 filter "header" for less than $200, but the gen 3 I can find for $50. After I grind those spots on the header, It can use gen 2 or gen 3 fliters. Its simple economics.

Ok, here are some pics of the gen 3 filter headers I turn back into gen 2. Not sure how visible the tabs are that I remove, but here goes. Classified ad here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/parts-sale/97909-mep-cucv-deuce-5ton-fuel-filters.html#post1254328

Yup, that top circle(above the fuel in/out lines) un-screws so you can fill it up.

    Stanadyne FM100 Spin-on Filter Install

I picked up a bunch(1000) of Napa Gold 3546 filters. Some of the headers I got don't work as there is 3 tabs that stick out. I found out that means its a gen 3 header. The tabs are along the seam of the filter. I will post pics tomorrow.

Does your header have the 3 tabs stick out around the collar? I have been doing some research on these and there is "gen 2" and "gen 3" filter headers. The gen 2 does not have them.
