    Are you sure it is just 8 hours? The last digit, normally red, is not tenths as I assumed, but full hours. For instance, when I got mine it read 819, with the 81 in white and the 9 in red for a total of 819 hours. I have no idea why they did that, but it easily misleads people. You likely...

    That is exactly the way mine is hooked up now. Why they tied the two together is anyone's guess. I was lucky - my lines were in very good condition.

    I found a photo on the internet that shows the vent line coming from the power steering reservoir connecting to the vent line on the timing cover. I'm not sure why they connected these two, but it is obvious that they did.
