I believe I will have my motor in before he has his engine and trans he got from me in :).

They normally just sit on the frame. I've done a rubber mount and a u shaped cradle on each frame rail for added mental health. You need all you can get, Discoball.

It uses the same tube size as my M932A2. Could be an easy answer. It's an 1850 series joint.

or I could ship you the driveshaft from the truck that trans came from...

No, just change that end of the drive shaft and the trans yoke. I am with Simp. The rest of the 5t joints are avaialble and easy... the 5T trans side joint is a Meritor part, frequently found at Freightliner. The Bastard joint? Not so much. Edit: Did you try the yoke from the Allison onto...

Matt at A&H isn't the first guy, either... but he's on this board too.

We did it, (my father, brother and I) before we were on the internet. We ended up using a drop t-case from an Osh-Kosh cement mixer ( I think it's the same one in the 916), but we installed a Cummins BC4 and a 15 speed RR in an old M923 my nephew used to haul around an excavator. So I know it...

That's what I've been saying since before he shipped the trans. The truck it came out of has the same frame rail spacing.

Yah, you won't be driving this 300K miles a year...

Most are built into the pedal, like this one: https://www.heavytruckparts.net/detailview.php?partnum=24534009&vendor=1821960&store=1&fc=1&fp=1&searchnum=1 Right ratio for that clutch you spec'd, right bell housing for it, right master, right slave,. Well, does not mount where you think it...

Mechanical is easier... just need a really big left leg. Seriously, the box I sent you has plenty of room under the floor of a M936A2 series. You're way over thinking this. There are hyrdo clutch slaves cylinders that do not mount on the firewall.

Fab the rear mount, it won't hurt you. A couple of captured one ton chevy leaf spring bushings will do the trick on the two rear studs, some 3/16" 2x4" box tube and you're all set.

I'd use the Peterbuilt clutch pedal box I sent you. It's what we did.

I wish I took pics of the one we did years ago. The frame rails are spaced at 34" - same as any HDT that takes the big transmissions. We swapped a "stacked" t-case that sent the front driveshaft under the trans, instead of beside it. Used a Peterbuilt clutch box. Similiar to a 916 set up. Look...
