Maybe I should have added, that my friend wants to run the generator continuous for weeks at a time with no interruption. Most generators are not rated for continuos duty cycle like this one. He has a 1000 gallon subterranean fuel tank and gets his fuel dirt cheap. So cost to run really isnt a...

Thats up to my friend,but he does need every bit of power that it will produce on single phase.

A kraus and naimer rotary switch would work well for the high current switching. And ohmite rotary switches for the low current switching
