Haven't noticed it any worse than other surplus vehicles I've gotten. Probably had something to do with the 50 pounds of mud underneath and inside. Looks like the USDA liked driving it through creeks/rivers. Took me 2 hours to get all the mud out of the frame rails and body mounts. No rust...

Yeah it's faded a lot since production.

Picked up a CUCVIII this week. It's a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe. Runs great. Needs the regular maintenance stuff of a surplus vehicle. Will need a new AC compressor but I will likely replace everything short of the evaporator like I did in my CUCVIIs. This CUCVIII was on GSA a year or two ago. So far...

Sold my m1009 for 14k last year. The days of cheap $500 cucvs are dead and gone.

Good price, I paid more for both of my CUCVIIs and one was in worse condition than that CUCVIII. If I didn't have so many projects I would've bought it myself.

Commissioned a 24"x36" display for my CUCVII at shows. Turned out real nice

Figured I would share my collection of CUCVII promotional brochure pictures. They were scattered all over the internet, and someone saved these 20 years ago on their computer and still had access to them when I asked.

All of them are already welded... Shipping price should be cheaper than the HMMWV hood pioneering kits I produce. Also haven't figured out the list price yet.

I've also been working on the new CUCVII. Picking up the new interior parts for this vehicle next week. Had the rear side windows in both CUCVIIs resealed by a local auto glass company. They were the only ones who would do it, every other company offered only to do total glass replacement. The...
