    MEP-803a Crankcase full of fuel...

It shouldn't take more than 1 minute of starting. Are you using the master switch on the front, for the attempts to start it. You said that you're getting fuel to the rubber hoses before the pumps, correct? If so, it goes directly into the pump and should start coming out.

    MEP-803a Crankcase full of fuel...

Did you try to crank the motor over to see if fuel comes out? For the stuck pump, I had to take the top of the pump apart to see the plunger. Then I stuck a strong magnetic inside on the plunger and rotated it clockwise so I could get the pump out. I've also had to use a small pick to turn the...

Before you take the front apart, you may want to try and bend the rack back up with your fingers. If you know which pump bent it, then reach your fingers through the port on the motor and lift up with a lot of force. I bent the rack on one of my first 802a's and I did what I explained. It worked...

It looks like you understand how everything works now so your getting the pumps into the rack. When you put the pumps in, do they fall all the way in, where they are flush with the block? Or do you have to put the hold downs on, to push them down? If the cam lube is at the highest point, it will...

    MEP-803a Crankcase full of fuel...

Try a small mirror and look down into the hole where the injector pump goes so you can see how the rack moves. You have to move the shut off solenoid by hand to the right place so that the rack will be in the right position for the removal or install of the pumps. After I saw how the rack moved...

Yes, use the old shims and move on.

    MEP-803a Crankcase full of fuel...

You may be lucky and be able to tighten everything back together. I would imagine, that the plunger seal is damaged since diesel leaked into the crankcase. If it were me, I would go ahead and replace it because you don't want a slow leak of diesel in the crankcase, to thin the oil again. You'll...

At least you know what the problem is now.

If you were running 12.5kw load, your compression is good. The video sounded good. I would move on to the pumps and if you remember which pump was connected to that dry injector, I would start with that one because I bet that one is the problem.

That's what I would think too but he said that he has been using the generator and I'm assuming running good. This engine running on 3 cylinders sounds awful and can't take a lot of load. I guess we should have asked how well the generator has been running?

    MEP-803a Crankcase full of fuel...

It's not the injector causing the problem but if you keep up with which cylinder the injectors came out of, we may be able to find which pump is the problem. Looking at the 2nd picture, where you took it from the tips. The 2nd injector from the left, looks dryer than the others, I don't see any...

    MEP-803a Crankcase full of fuel...

Nope, that would not cause your problem. Lets say you let the pumps rotate a little, all that is going to do is increase or decrease the amount of fuel it sends to the injectors (a tad). This is how we adjust the injector pumps to become perfectly in time with one another. What you do is take a...

    MEP-803a Crankcase full of fuel...

Now if an injector is bad, you won't be able to tell without pulling them out. With that much diesel in the crankcase, if the injector is the culprit, usually the tip of the injector will be extremely clean (like it has been washed). A normal injector tip will be black with carbon on it. Now...

    MEP-803a Crankcase full of fuel...

I've never seen it in the TM and have not heard of it happening in the 802 or 803. The only advice I could give is to pull each injector pump one at a time and test it but you'll need a fuel pump to apply pressure to the pump to see if it's leaking. You could, take the outlet hard line off your...

You know it's either going to be the injector pumps or injectors. My money would be on a bad injector that is flooding the combustion chamber. Did you notice it running poorly before it shut down?
