Making a Deuce a (better) highway vehicle?

I'd like to clarify something because I got negative rep for it. I did not drive my bobbed deuce 80mph on a road with traffic. The highway was unoccupied. When I got to 80 it started wanting to walk across lanes. So I shut the truck down. The most the truck normally did was in the 65-69 range...

Making a Deuce a (better) highway vehicle?

I'm sorry I wasn't talking about you KsM715. I should have had a split in there somewhere. So it could show I was referring to m35tom. You are right the multifuel definitely wasn't designed to do highway speeds. The point I'm trying to get across is with the right gearing you could still make it...

Making a Deuce a (better) highway vehicle?

On my last a2 my dad and I added a stock turbo off an 8.3 cummins and turned the fuel pump up on top of 16.00x20s mounted on 5 ton axles and it would do 80,It'd scare you because it liked to wander but it would do it. My point is that even if it doesn't have enough power to run at those speeds...

Making a Deuce a (better) highway vehicle?

Being as I'm building my next one to drive daily x-country I figure I'd chime in with my ideas. 10lug conversion, semi wheels&tires, progressive front spring with air, air seats, 4 speed gear splitter turned backwards to give tall od hoping for max od to be at .55. With 42 inch tires 2000...
