    Glow plug resistor

    I got rid of the resistor and ran a wire from one of the batteries and the blazer still isn't starting. I'm still only getting 4 volts to the glow plugs. I was wondering if a bad ground could cause this and if so how do you check that. Are the military glow plugs the same as the civilian ones?

    I've heard about bypassing the resistor. Where do you put the wire that runs out of the resistor if you replace it with one off the block on the firewall or just run a fusible link from the positive terminal on the front battery?
