    My 1984 M923 AM General maximum speed is 45 miles per hour.

    Mine ran 59mph at 2100 rpm no problem on Interstate with the 1100 duals. I have 395's now and can get 64-65 on Interstate. Something mechanical in transfer case, tranny, or rear ends. Check temps and fluids. 45mph is not right
