    Good question. I did not remove. Looked like I would have to be flexible like Mr. Gumpy and our ortho doc Tobash is too far away to duct tape me back together ....

    Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the y-pipe can be removed with out dropping the starter. Real tight. Heat shield actually has a hole so you can access one of the bolts. I will post more details on my thread when I get done. These 2 were my friends.

    Looked at this thread for inspiration as I need to replace my y pipe and think I need to drop starter to get to the right hand manifold. I take it with the starter off the pipe and manifold will be easily accessible?
