HEMMT rims are 20", no? 22.5" rims are far more common for trucks, so you can very easily find more options or emergency replacements at just about any truck stop.
Yep, if the rear hubs are flipped you wouldn't need to tap them. If they are not flipped, you don't really have an option. I haven't taken a peek at the fronts yet.
I think Option 1 would be the best. As mentioned already, once you fit a 10 lug rim on there, you can put just about every kind of tire available to a 6 lug rim onto a 10 lug rim so there isn't a real need for going back to stock.
