If your kit didn't come with the bolt then you got the wrong one. The right kit comes with the bolt.

I don't have a conversion for the fuel as I think the stock one is better than any spin on, when compared by size and is easily swapped in less than 5 min.

you are right it's not a kit. you have to buy the base/oring and then the filter is seperate, as you can use any number of filters on it as others have pointed out.
no. you have to use the # I used. the other is listed for our engines but it's not right, I tried it first and it does not fit. I got the parts from cummins if that helps.
I know what your talking about but I dont think the pump mount filters are the same size as what we have now and it would certainly be a lot harder to change IMO. I know on my truck it takes me about 2-3 min to swap fuel filters.
