Little expensive for my taste. If I was doing tires every day then I could justify it but for 7 tires I just can't. Seating the beads on the combat rims aren't so bad once you get the hang of it, just breaking them without the proper tools.
I was actually thinking about getting that tool mentioned on the site you linked. Esco sells one for a good bit of money but it's rated to be used with an impact.
I'm with you on the bad back, that's kinda why I am looking for an easier way to do it.
I'm going to pick one of these when I get back and hopefully won't have any trouble in the driveway with them.

I would like to get the run flats out. I tried the method of securing the tire to a tree and the runflat to...
Called the local place that does tractors and they said nope when I said run flat.
I knew a guy like that in the army, we tried not to piss him off to much.
I do believe I'll take ndt up on his offer though.
Ok ladies and gentlemen, I'm doing the opposite of op. I'm taking off the 395's from the aluminum wheels and putting them on 5 ton combat wheels.
I have been fighting for a day trying to break the bead on one wheel and so far all I have to show for it is a broken chain and a day almost gone...
Ok so I got back to the wheels today and took a closer look at them. Sure enough there was a bead on them. You can see why I didn't think there was one there as it was flatter than a pancake and perfectly matched the color of the wheel.
I also learned the runflats are notched all the way around...
I wondered that myself, only thing I could come with is the amount of torque on the nuts. I had to use my impact and it's breaking force is 750 ft lbs and it took it a little bit to break each nut.
I'm confused myself, lol
I know the ones I got from the scrap yard here in Texas when I broke them down there wasn't an oring in them. I don't know if it was because of the style wheels or not. I know those mraps had the fmtv axles so I don't know if that makes a difference.
When it comes to...
