    If you're replacing the cylinder, you'll need to empty it and once you get it low enough to change, I would. I wouldn't bleed the entire system dry.

    I wouldn't bleed them completely dry... thats asking for trouble. Personally I would use the aforementioned bleeders and flush each cylinder until I got new fluid. That way you're for sure flushing any moisture/debris out of the system.
