    I took mine off today and they were bone dry. I also still have the bearings and not the bushings. So I put in the zerks and added almost an entire tube of grease to each side. Overall things looked good, just dry.

    Here is a question for those who know. When replacing the cover can silicone be used to reseal it or do I have to get a gasket?

    Bearing 392 happens to be the same as the ouside rear axle bearing on a deuce. The only reason I know this is because I just had to repack one side on a deuce and I purposly looked for the number. Think I will have to pull the dust covers and look at mine this weekend.
