I've actually already brushed it..and chipped some. Here is a pic I forgot to attach. This is my first off of the aft axle. The wheel on the left mid was nothing like this. I'm tempted to pull the LH aft as the aft axle looks like it hasn't been disturbed in some time.

This wheel was a beyoch to get separated seemingly due to rust. I've already used a wire wheel and sandpaper,
I plan on Rusty metal primer and Rustoleum Rust top coat.
Any concern with wheel failure and explosive decompression? Leaking down I can handle.
Ail I've got is a 1/2" Crapsman which at full power takes one full second to turn the nut 1 revolution before it bottoms put. Once they quit turning I switch to a 5' 3/4" torque wrench and step up the settings. Should probably get a torque amplifier but man do I sleep well after doing one wheel!
Mine doesn't have CTIS (A2 with A3 wheels) so I'm hoping I'm good. I always recheck the torque after mounting and adjust the cold pressure.
Where do you usually see the leaks (using soapy water, which I do) if the oring seal is leaking?

Tire has been leaking down since I got it, about 20 psi a week. After the first go-round I found some rough areas on the rim I had missed before. I cleaned them up very good, rechecked the valve stem and re assembled. This morning no air loss. Will give it another day...
I've never hit anything nor does it look bent. O-Ring is 1/4" actually 3/16". The oring I used was one that came with the truck in the spare parts. I have 4 new ones from Big Mike. They actually measured .010 larger so I'll try one of those this time. The new ones were harder to get to stay on...
Disassembled wheel, cleaned and replaced o-ring using HG silicone. Big leak, 20 lbs lost overnight. When standing on tread with valve stem at the bottom lots of bubbles around the stem, but not coming from the stem where it attaches. Disassembled again, found some questionable areas on o-ring...
