What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Radio install Finally got weeds back from the welding shop. Part of the radio tray is aluminum, and I have no tig. We added a few braces to stiffen the tray up, and it worked out perfectly. Glad to get my truck back. Welder was very interested, and wants a HMMWV. I owe a big thank you to...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Bottom line if 98G welds it, it's not coming apart. I have 2 other guys I know local to me, both are very talented. 98G's work is very good, you won't find a better welder than him.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Be careful out there. At the beginning of the film, there was a furry sasquatch thing that jumped onto the side of the truck.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

$50-100 on the antenna mount. Would be interested in seeing the radio trays in the middle of the truck, as they are not that common either.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Today I spent time finding a speedometer ratio adapter to correct our trucks MPH reading after adding 14.00 or 16.00 tires to them. Currently waiting on parts for the adapter box, our trucks have a different key tang diameter that drives the speedo cable. Will be starting a specific thread on...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I saw the idea on a YouTube video. A guy used index cards, and tire shine manually applied(no spray application) to paint some crown vic rims. He did not use tape. If you use my method DO NOT move the truck after getting the index cards taped on, they will pop out of the bead area as the tire...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Painted Weed's rims today. Wanted to do this for a year or so, the wife is gone for the weekend so I'm messing with the 5 tons. Love that Rapco paint. Used painter's tape and index cards to keep the paint off of the rubber. Worked Excellent!!

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Could be a petcock but unlikely unless someone has recently used the petcock. Most likely cause of the slow drip is the extreme cold temperatures. I have 3 dump trucks, been driving/repairing them for 12 years now. I have a detroit series 60 that does this in one spot by the intercooler...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Well I can assure you that the # 11 spot on God's list was claimed by the Chinese and their evil deception of tool production and quality, or lack thereof. It is a shame what is taking place in this country, our lack of jobs, the lack of quality readily available tool stores, and our state of...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Did it thread onto a standard nato base, just like mine that comes on a M939 truck, with the longer antenna?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I have an 18 volt dewalt, and have been very pleased with it. I use it on the 5 tons, equipment, and my dump trucks. I carry it in the pickup, it is very speedy, and simp is correct in that the dewalt will get the air out quickly after refilling with a full tube. Very happy with it after 2...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I had trouble with the truck puking coolant after rebuilding the radiator. Engine is a nhc250. Shutterstat was slowly pressurizing the coolant system and causing seeps at the hose clamps, and loss of coolant. I replaced the Shutterstat with a new one.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Replaced the shutterstat today on one of my M923. Fixed my pressure issue in my cooling system. Very easy repair and well worth the price of admission. Planning on starting the replacement of my transmission in another M923, the very first one I purchased in 2014. Anyone local have a...
