    Frodo could be right. I went back and took a closer look at the pics and it isn't as bad as I initally thought. I guess I should have looked closer before posting :oops: . Just as he said, be safe.

    Good deal. [thumbzup] I'd still throw it away though. If the ring won't fit in the groove with no air, adding air won't help. I'll give you a good wheel if you can figure a way to get it to you.

    Get that tire chained ASAP! With just 10psi that ring can still fly off and KILL you. It is very dangerous at this point to even get near it. That pic scares the he!! out of me just looking at it. You'll be out a lot more than $35 if it doesn't seat and you air it up. Forget about the cops...

    When the bead is stuck/rusted really good to the rim you really need something to "wedge" between the tire and the wheel. I'd be careful using a hyd press. You could build up alot of pressure and if something slips parts could go flying. To be honest, short of a hyd bead breaker (or maybe a...

    I use a tire hammer to break the bead but whatever works :wink: . I'll add that you need to be carefull when sliding the wheel out of the tire so as not to damage the valve stem if you plan on re-using the tube ( not that you wasn't carefull I just didn't see it mentioned).
