    hydraulic power steering kit

I'm not sure you could stack pumps. There's barely enough room between the block and the radiator to get one pump.

    hydraulic power steering kit

Agreed. The only reason I was even thinking about a hydrostatic "hybrid" system is I have several hydrostatic setups lying around off of farm and construction equipment.

    hydraulic power steering kit

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. They are commonly called "hand pumps" by the hydrostatic steering manufacturers. Mainly because you are actually pumping oil when you turn the wheel. With the engine running the "hand pump" is assisted by the hyd pump but you can pump the oil by hand with the...

    hydraulic power steering kit

I was just saying that was the cheapest option I've found if you have the skills to fab it up yourself.

    hydraulic power steering kit

I've had a P/S idea in the back of my mine for awhile. What if you took a hydrostatic setup, tied the hand pump into the steering shaft going to the gearbox via a chain and sprocket or something, and added a assist cylinder to the tie rod. hydraulic power steering kit

I could put together and offer a kit. The problem is that most of y'all wouldn't pay for it. Steering components aren't cheap. Partly due to the liability involved. I'd have to have a huge liability policy to sell steering components that I built and extensive testing would have to be done to...

    hydraulic power steering kit

Here's the setup I was talking about- http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce-modification-hot-rodding/71123-deuce-hyd-power-steering.html I knew I started a thread about it and finally found it. All you do is replace the drag link and add a cylinder to the tie rod.

    hydraulic power steering kit

Garrison Manufacturing as listed earlier in the thread makes a hyd kit that works just like the air assist only hyd.

    hydraulic power steering kit

Anybody got a price on this kit? There are better ways to add PS. There is a kit out there that works just like the air-assist only it's hyd. I tried to finding the link but came up empty. When I checked it was kind of pricey but required the least amount of modification to make it work.
