    ATF red dye?

The way I understand it, all diesel is ultra low sulfur nowadays. All the red dye does is to distinguish taxed fuel from untaxed fuel. I know the local Co-op dyes the fuel themselves. It's all the same diesel only they put red dye in the off-road and leave the road diesel clear. In TN there is...

    ATF red dye?

DH, I wouldn't worry about the blood in the fat. You'll look so good "rockin your new body" that the judge is bound to let you go. Well, either that or your cell mate Buba will like your new looks. The more I think about it, it could go either way. Best to put the fat in a tote for a couple...

    ATF red dye?

I'd just burn Creosote. DH, I hear that human fat is free in some parts of the country. I'm not sure about NY but shipping it shouldn't be a problem (or you could just suck out your own). :-D

    ATF red dye?

They used to have red dyed gasoline. They've done away with it since most off-road equipment has went to diesel. In TN you can still deduct your taxes you pay for off-road gas. It's a form you fill out at the end of the year and they send you a refund.

    ATF red dye?

I assume this is directed at me. I guess I've been called worse than a dipstick (or a lawyer for that matter). I just don't think it's very smart to brag about breaking the law and then lying to a judge. And you're "trying to help a brother out" by advocating lying to a judge?

    ATF red dye?

So you lied? That sounds like perjury and you just admitted it in a public forum. I haven't seen one in awhile but they used to have fuel check roadblocks and would dip every diesel truck going down the road. I also had my truck checked at a construction site, he checked every diesel truck on...

    ATF red dye?

I know a fellow that got fined here in TN. They pulled a sample of fuel that turned up red. At that point he was fined by the officer and the officer took a bigger sample of fuel as evidence and I assume for further testing to be used in court. I was also told by a TN state trooper that if he...

    ATF red dye?

It basically boils down to tax evasion and the charges are usually akin to something along those lines.

    ATF red dye?

The preliminary test the cops will pull is just a visual test. They use a clear straw or hose to pull some fuel out of the tank. If it looks clear to the naked eye, they will let you go. So there is really no reason for a test kit because if the fuel looks clear (not red) they will not send it...

    ATF red dye?

I've gotten a couple of MVs from GSA with dye in the tank. If caught you could probably fight it and win but it would still cost you. The two tank idea won't work. How would the authorities trust you to only use the dyed fuel off-road? I've never heard of a different tax for trucks and cars...

    ATF red dye?

I'm not sure your hand written records would hold up in court. It's really best to keep all red dyed additives out of your truck. Sure, you could fight it and maybe win in court but it could still cost you more that any benefits you'd gain by running ATF.

    ATF red dye?

Would I turn somebody in? Probably not. I have to agree with what Jeff has said though. It's stealing, no way around it. It kind of gets under my skin when people think they are somehow exempt from paying takes that everybody else has to pay. I'm no big fan of taxes but in most states, the...

    ATF red dye?

No. You don't pay road taxes when you buy ATF, just sales tax and maybe a impact fee.

    ATF red dye?

I've heard it's the same dye. The dye is just for the visual test though. He's already failed that. They may check the composition of the sample which will tell the sulfur content and the ATF should show up. You never know though when it comes to government. I've been preaching not to run ATF...
