    There was one guy who was starting the project. You might try looking up one of the chevy forums, as I am sure someone has done this. You might even try www.dieselplace.com Its a direct bolt in swap.... its just the computer wiring thats the tough part.

    Remember, the 4L80 is the Overdrive version of the TH400... just as strong, just as tough. If I had a chance to use a 4L80, I would jump on it.

    RE: 4L80E conversion ??s What year is the 6.5? The problem with the 4L80 is the computer controls. If the 6.5 is 94 or newer, the IP is run by the computer too, and you probably wont be able to use it.
