    Probably not on the timing light.... But.... if you have a piece of copper core plug wire, you can rig something up pretty easy. wrap the copper wire on the spring of the military wire, and shove the other end in the spark plug.

    Jason, I know on Farmall tractors.... you set the crank to the timing mark, rotate the mag all the way one way, then turn it back the other until it trips... and lock it down. I am not sure how the TM states to do it, but if I recall, it calls for tools you probably dont have.

    Right. The other end of this wire goes through the switch to ground. When the generator is turned off, it grounds the condenser using this wire.

    on the 'spark' plug rofl Hook a plug up to a wire, and have it connected to the mag.

    I had one that the condenser must not have been getting a good ground. Make sure everything is clean. I think the coil and condenser wire should both be hooked to the same part of the points, but I dont recall for sure.
