I still need to do this on my 3-speed. But can anyone point me to where to buy the wire? I ordered it from Federal Military Parts and it never showed up. And they never replied to my emails. So until either I get a refund or it shows up, I'm not buying anything else from them.

I've used Kerosene as a parts cleaner before on diesel engine componets in the past. It's generally compatible with diesel. (I don't know if any agrees this is a good or bad idea on the HMMWV.)

Mine just has a connector on the harness right there. But it’s only used by the diagnostic port in the cab, so not hooked up should be fine.

Wires should have a grommet on them, with a corresponding hole to go into cab, under the dash. Should be two wires there to connect it to.
