    Thank You- I do not consider it a highjack - it seems like if it can be done at a reasonable cost, that is the best improvement he can make. That is what is done on lube oil on ships.

    I believe one will find that at least a significant portion of the heavier fractions will remain in liquid phase and in solution with the diesel fuel.     I like your set-up. Personally, I would make 2 modifications. Pump suction several inches off bottom. A drain valve on bottom of barrel to drain settled water and sludge.
