Yep ... I can back it up too. Necessity being the mother she is, I've done a couple stainless to mild steel weld jobs. No gas ... I used flux cored wire. All of them turned out OK too. -

Removed the fuel tank ... and the rest of the fuel system, including lines, all the way up to the IP. Then installed a new tank screen (made from a VW Beetle oil filter), an external fuel pump, rerouted the lines down the drive side of the truck, to a new spin-on water separator/ fuel filter... -

I imagine you've already tried cussing ... ... but have you considered finding some long bolts, cutting the heads off, and using them as guides? You're not going to want to put a lot of weight on them, but they might help with stability and aiming while your come along and jack carry the... -

Got the right front axle boot installed, cleaned checked and packed the bearings ... adjusted the brakes. It took me 6 hours ... Now the boots on both sides are done ... all the bearings ( fronts and rears) are cleaned checked and packed ... all seals are replaced. ( see post 282 this thread)... -

Installed new front shocks (Monroes). Took apart left front, replaced ripped boot with new silicone one piece ... new seals ... checked and repacked bearings. I was very happy to see that the brakes, wheel cylinder, hoses and bearings in the front left matched the condition of the rears ... -

Today, I completed 3 classes at a 5 week short summer semester. I drove the Duck 300 miles a week down to Marietta Ga in all that heat. Parked her bobbed rear-end in the crowded school parking lot 3 days a week. NO PROBLEMS!!!!! Low temps ... good OP. She was a PERFECT lady. I drew a VERY... -
