    j609b I used the 4500 watt from northern tool direct bolt on! I'll take pictures tomorrow! With this gen head it will fit into mep-831 enclosure but you will have to remove inverter,pmg alternator,speed control actuater. And move contactor toward where the inverter was!

    That's correct just go to eBay they got some 24vac at 8 amp chargers for around 40 buck and they take I'm 100-265 vac. I used these on some mep-003 5kw I built , I'll try to find link!

    Yes the bolt facing down is what you use to adjust the max trottle/governor and as for bsttery charger its mounted on left just hook up the 120 vac input to the new generator.

    The yanmar already has a governor internally set to hold at 3600 you just adjust the governor spring bolt you don't need the electric governor. See the post above about mep 831'sijverters. I have a few of these engines and made open frame generators using the northern gen 4500 it bolts direct...
