    Driving an Allison is not like driving the automatic in your car. You need to read the Allison drivers manual. You can, and I do, shift an Allison manually.

    I have researched the mechanical Allison's and the ones that I have found have a 1:1 final drive, no overdrive. To get an overdrive in an Allison you have to go to an electronic transmission. This would require some custom parts to mate the electronic trans to a mechanical engine.
