    Re- babbitting a barring.

    My humber has babbet bearings in it. It's not supposed to be a hard thing to do, mainly you need the metal, a small forge to heat the bearing metal and some clay to make up a mold and gate around the area to be 'filled' with white metal. I'll bet those screws on the inside of the journals are...
