    As soon as you start or start to crank the engine and build oil pressure the lifters will prime on there own. they will never completely bleed out the oil you have the push rods out so there is nothing pushing on the plunger of the lifter you can crank the engine with the starter and not hurt...

    Clockwise, If your not sure look at the fan it should turn so that it pulls air threw the radiator [thumbzup]
