I recommend you do the air tool oil trick. You don't even need to start the truck. Keep air pressure on it from an external compressor. Work the brakes good just sitting still pumping and applying a firm boot to the pedal a couple of times. You might need to do the oil a couple of times...

    M923A1 Abs Light

The unit operates from 21-32 v. There are two fuses, a 3 amp and a 15 amp fuse as you already know. Make sure you check the connector on the ecu and that its tight and clean. You are not getting a good self test on start up. How often do you drive the truck and did it sit for a while ? Is...

Correct ! I would try a couple of hard brake pumping actuations to see if you can loosen things up. If that doesn't work then follow what's recommended above. I had the same issue until I did this and drove the truck every so often. Now its great ! I love my tructor :)

Well I pulled the connectors off the alternator and found the excite wire had the insulation torn! I covered it up put everything back together and it works ! Interesting how a problem can be the result of another issue. I will keep an eye on it though just to make sure.

The rear axle is the lightest loaded axle under braking with an empty truck.

    M923A1 Abs Light

Ok, I pulled both rear wheel assemblies to get at the transducer and exciter. Both sides didn't look bad. I cleaned them up anyway, the left side being the worse of the two. I also tapped on the side of the transducer to get it to protrude from the bracket more in case it was out of tolerance...

    M923A1 Abs Light

If you find anything about clearing it other than with the unit please let us know. I will also be looking. I will probably pull the two rear tires today and do some work on it. I will take pics to post and will check my fuses. Since there is a good self test and my light doesn't come on until I...

    M923A1 Abs Light

Try pulling the electrical connector on the abs unit between the rear axles. Make sure its clean and not grounding out. Then put in silicone, aka di-electric grease, and put back together and replace the fuse and see what happens. It sounds like you might have a grounding short somewhere...

    M923A1 Abs Light

Since the unit self tests fine and only indicates a problem after I start moving i'll start at the transducer and exciter first. I will take a close look to see if the middle axle has anything but a quick look appears that only my rear most axle is abs monitored. I have the manual and read...

    M923A1 Abs Light

Well, my ABS light just started coming on. It comes on after I start driving the truck. I took a look at the system and the control unit is between the two rear axles. Sensors on my truck are only on the last axle ! So, only the rear most tires are monitored. Since I get a good self test on...

Keep us updated on what you find. Since this trucks are coming out in mass we need to get a good database down in the forum for fixing such issues. My 932A1 has had a few unique issues that took a few days to trouble shoot. The TM's for the 9 series trucks are not the best. I had a forum...
