Work on the War Pig continues

NOPE !! still got her. I've had to take a break from working on her due to work related issues. Moved up in the company, and had to start traveling all over the country and in fact multiple other countries. Lucky for me a really good friend of mine has talked me into letting him work on...

Work on the War Pig continues

Ok...haven't been able to work on the "Pig" since my job sucks, and it takes me all over the country, so I picked up this little toy, threw it in the back of the truck, and am taking it with me to all these jobs I'm going on. Got the painting done this week, and hopefully putting the knobbie...

Work on the War Pig continues

Nope. There are slight differences on the back side of the 2002, 2003, and 2004 cummins, and I couldn't get an adapter to fit. (and I went through several) Every one of them said they would fit the 2003. So I just picked up a freshly rebuilt NV4500. It's setting in the barn with the rest of...

Work on the War Pig continues

I took a temporary assignment in Missouri last October..........and I'm still here. I've been looking for a shop to rent while I'm out here, but no one will rent me anything for less than a 12 month lease. Sorry....Pig's on hold until I finish up this project. Gotta feed the kids every so...

Work on the War Pig continues

Finally got a little time to work on the Pig this weekend. Installed the grill with new mounting brackets mounted to the front bumper. Installed tie down/towing lugs to both axles and the rear bumper. Next I will install the rear pintle hitch to the rear bumper.

Work on the War Pig continues

Sorry guy's. I've been having some medical issues, and had to have a minor surgery last week. I should be healed enough by next weekend to be back on the project. I will update as soon as I make some forward progress.

Work on the War Pig continues

I would love to, but I'm really under the gun right now with work. What kind of time frame are you looking at? If you don't need them right away I could make the time after I'm done with a few issues at work. I would need a few measurements from you, so we get a perfect fit.

Work on the War Pig continues

Working for a living really makes it hard to work on the truck !! I've finally found enough time to fabricate & install the motor mounts for the 5.9 Cummins transplant. Here are some pictures.

Work on the War Pig continues

thank you much for the assistance my northern brother! LOL I've already pulled the motor, and didn't know anything about "flashing" the ecm. I did keep all of the wiring harness together, and I do plan on keeping and many of the electronics as i can. i.e. dash cluster and fuel pump/unit.

Work on the War Pig continues

I've thought about the frame flex issue. I think the answer would be to hard pipe the exhaust stack to the bed, but then add about 2' of flex between the bed and the engine. This would allow the motor to flex and the bed and frame to flex with out putting a strain on having hard pipe run from...

Work on the War Pig continues

The exhaust is on the passengers side. I'm debating on several different things. Duel stacks sticking out of the bed are always cool looking. A single stack sticking out of the bed would be efficient and still cool. A single run under the frame and out the back would work well, and keep the...

Work on the War Pig continues

Hey guys, I love this web site, and I love working on my truck. Any thing I can do to help other people enjoy it also I'm all for. I was originally making the pictures small because they kept getting rejected for being to large. Just trying to figure things out as as I go.

choped 6" off of the bull bar to drop it down today. I think it looks better, plus it clears the headlight.

Work on the War Pig continues

As far as the Painless system goes it is strickly a wiring harness. It eliminates all the wires going to the different accessories that have nothin to do with the engine. I didn't have a multi in her. She came with a gold comet gasser. I don't know much about the multi's, and there are...

Work on the War Pig continues

Those "little pecker looking things" are for hooking up chains, slings, what ever to. Come up under the bumper from behind and hang the loop over them. Puts the bumper into a twist, which is much stronger then just a straight pull. Plus it makes it impossible for the sling to fly off.
