Hey ! that back packer food isn't half bad. Try living on "C" or "K" rats ! Actually I did like them for the most part. I didn't care much for the "chilli", though the "beans and franks" where pretty good ! Since I was in the Marines I also know how many holes where in a "Gorilla" cookie. The...
Your system sounds a lot like our bus radios. We have a PRT and PRTT button on the radio. When pressed, it connects with the coordinator downtown. One is for emergencies only, and the other for general questions. The radio also acts as a public notice over the loudspeakers ie: this is the last...
Most of the guys who where tipping over the RT's where young kids straight out of boot camp. Also I'm sure none of them had ever driven any kind of large equipment in the civilian world. At one point we had to up-right the RT 3 times in one day ! Granted the terrain was kind of rough, but if...
They are great units, no doubt about it. The problem was we always got some yah-hoo who thought he knew what he was doing and would tip it over ( I believe they just enjoyed doing it ). The problem got so bad that the unit commander said who ever tipped the RT over again would "go before the...

Hey Tim, how's it going on getting people to sign up for buying a barrel of "Pri-ocide" ? If you can get enough people to bring the cost down to $50.00 I'm in.
I wished my son would have joined the "Boy Scouts" . He just didn't want anything to do with the out-doors. Funny since my mother was a "den mother" and two of my brothers became "Eagle Scouts" .
Tim, by the time your done with all this you'll have enough tech and equipment to field a small mercenary army !
Disclaimer: Not that I'm saying that's your plan or anything ! You will have a "Way Cool Set-Up " though.
SCORE ! I always like extra parts ! My motto is "you never know" . As in you will never know when you'll need that "thing-a-ma-jig" . I lost count of how many times I have had to rob a part off of a carb, or something else I have squirrelled away.
Sorry if I implied that Tim "strong armed" me into buying a Toughbook, but he was "tremendously" helpful in getting a good unit, and even helped supply me with some parts I needed !
I'm all for getting "expert" help when needed , and Tim is an expert in this field !
I've already installed over...
