    Yes replace the rings ! and give it a good honing while your at it. Since the heads are already off I would take and have the valves done too.

    If it's "wet stacking" there will be a definite smell of fuel in the oily mess. If it's just plain oil coming out then you have other issues. Remember "wet stacking" is basically just over fueling. Since diesel engines inject the same amount of fuel given a certain RPM, if the engine is not...

    I just spent over $200.00 to go back to the old style for my front an rear directional lights ! The newer plastic housings have a tendency to crack so I wanted the quality aluminum housings.

    You don't have a turbo right ? So the next culprit would be the exhaust valve guides are worn out. This is very common.
