Title
I just titled mine an Hour ago. I stopped in Davison and titled them pickups, it took less than 15 min. This is the nicest, fastest SOS I have been to. After I choose insurance I will plate them historic vehicles. Harley I am glad you paperwork came through. Bob, do I uderstad correctly...
My SF-97s arrived with another document, a title reassignment supplment which is a state of Florida Department of Highway Safety document. Is this new? I would appreciate input from Michiganders who have recently titled M35A2s. Also the docs refer to my vehicles as utility trucks and I want to...
Paperwork
Kudos gunner_bear. You have some nice clear days coming for recovery.
Harley are you still following? Any news on your EUC?
I applied for my SF-97s. When they come I think I should go to an SOS that has processed a Deuce recently. Preacherboy, can you tell me which office you went to...
If I search on TR-54, I find threads outlining a Michigan procedure where you pick up a form TR-54 from a SOS office, Have a police officer inspect the truck and fill out the form verifying vin, etc. You then bring the form, $15, a letter explaining the circumstances, and the bill of sale to...
OK so now that I am coming up for air, my thoughts turn to a title. In Michigan do I need the to fill ot the GL form and pay the $60 per truck for an SF-97? Preacherboy, I assume that is what you did for your Dad's truck and just a bill of sale will not be accepted by the SOS.
Thanks for the suggestion. I work about a mile from the Saginaw Wmart so I bought two for $77 as you said. Cheap at twice the price and Rusty started right up. I then burned up a set of civilian jumpers (that I considered heavy) trying to start Brakeless. Won't do that again. I need good Nato...
I know I am remiss with respect to pics. I took some but cannot figure out how to get them off my old camera to a newer computer. Workin on it. At any rate it seems I am looking at spending a fortune in batteries. Anyone ever us the battery rejuvinator stuff? Grasping at straws here.
Rusty and Brakeless are home at last. No problems and nice fall colors up M53 and M15. Thanks for the advice and help. All for now, as I am going back out to rub my antlers on them.
Thanks, I assume he will have something running with 24 volts also. I will have tools, brake fluid, a tow bar and someone who has done this befor. Rusty will likely tow brakeless and we will come up M15.
I do hope Harley gets his EUC soon as he seems as anxious as I was.
Recovery
I am going to pick mine up tomorrow and have a question. Does Joe have the ability to jump start the trucks or should I bring a 24 volt source?
Received my EUC
I had an email this morning from GL. This was my first EUC and it took about 50 days. I do not know if other first timers from Selfridge are receiving EUCs yet, but if not, take heart. Ol' brakeless and Ol' rusty are comin' home!
Just checkin' in and still waiting for my EUC. I cleaned out the barn to make room for the two I hope to recover. I bought a gallon of brake fluid. Sigh.
Harleyrkc, I hope so. I don't want to be left waiting alone while everyone else is playing with thier trucks. I do intend to wait, however, as I like the trucks I bought. Do I understand correctly that at 60 days one should request an extension so your auctions are not cancelled? I am not good...
Ha, it seems to me that I am more accepting of blemishes than most. Recall I bought the "rusty" and "brakeless" 5612 and 5662. Happy to have them if I ever get an EUC!
The next Michigan auction perhaps you would help me look a little closer. That Vassar truck looked good to me, I suppose I am...
I am going crazy as you guys all recover your trucks and I wait fo my first EUC.
Buying something small requiring an EUC so you can have one on file prior to bidding on a truck seems like good advice. Wish I had done so. By the way, the m35a2 in Vassar went for around $3400 with tax and buyers...
