    I think a precedent was set in this thread pretty quickly based upon poor choice of words, spelling and perhaps dis-information by the OP. I don't know anything about the guy but it started out rather confusing as to what the issue was other than the truck struggles in hills.

    Maybe a picture of the oil pan of the transmission would clear that up. The TH-400 in these trucks doesn't have a locking converter so it'd still be 1 to 1 output minus converter loss either way. I agree that once the 14 bolt goes in, 55 mph. would be the top speed for all practical purposes...
