    I chased caterpillar part numbers on the factory turbos. The turbo design on the 3116 is almost 30 years old, more modern blade profiles and materials allow turbos to spool faster and produce more boost with similar physical dimensions. I'll see if i can dig p the build sheet.

    That's not right, could be damaged compressor, turbine air leak... Do you have an air filter in the canister?

    No there are differing turbos. The 225hp and 290 hp have different turbos but the 225hp has been supersceeded to the 290hp turbo. I had a custom turbo made up by Majestic turbo in Waco, that can flow enough air to produce about 600hp, although I'm not running that kind of power, spool time and...
