    M939A1 NHC Turbo

So after looking at the setup. The turbo is equal to an HX80. Which is double the volume of the HT3B most folks use.. The small cam doesn't have the air or ability to even spool it up. Its stupid overkill. Intercooler serves no purpose as no air can get across it. It probably builds 4lbs of...

You could drive it to Barstow tomorrow and I could look at it. Will be there from 10am on

They are slow up hill. Even with a turbo.

Backing the screw out is how you get more boost. If it has a steel ball in it then its set at stock. Rebuild places tend to use a nylon ball. 1/8" turn at a time till you get your gauge then you can back it however much you want and drive with your foot to control rail pressure

    M939A1 NHC Turbo

Because the aneroid does stupid things. Like the thread posted this morning. 6 months on a new pump and it sticks closed and basically you are basically stranded. Or it sticks half closed and you can't move but at a snails pace. The amount of smoke on takeoff depends on your foot as well. Not...

Nhc250s do not have an aneroid. We block them off on the big cam pumps when they get rebuilt. It just limits fuel until boost pressure builds.

If you are interested in 395s we have plenty. I'll be making a few more runs to Barstow over the next few weeks so they can ride cheap. No wheels though. @M35A2-AZ had some 5 ton combat wheels in the classifieds

    M939A1 NHC Turbo

Yes. The a2s have an aftercooler. Not an intercooler. Several of us have modified the RG31 MRAP aluminum radiator, oil cooler, and intercooler setup into the m939 trucks. Best parts for a solution and the price.

No. Ive got an ht3b in the box. Did a 500mi test run with it for $500 shipped. Holset factory rebuilt unit. I put it on in place of a 4LHR. I just found an ht4b a week later and went to that instead

    M939A1 NHC Turbo

There has to be a model number. If he didn't know that then he is talking crap. Or he was an idiot that thought any turbo would work. Cause um it has to be a reverse rotation turbo or it won't work on thr 855. Like a T46. T50. HT3B HT4B. 4LHR733

Where in California are you located?

Primer isn't needed. It just fails and sucks air Solenoid has a plug like shown below. Remove it and use hydraulic fittings. And hose and a liquid filled gauge

    M939A1 NHC Turbo

There is a pipe fitting on the side of the fuel shut off valve on top of the pump Dual line would be useful

You may have to swap the fuel button. Those are easy as well. Just order your button.before hand

Other than cover your windshields in soot. No.
  16. simp5782

    M939A1 NHC Turbo

Should be 170 stock. You won't want to exceed 220. Start with a quarter after you see a baseline
  17. simp5782

    M939A1 NHC Turbo

Probably. I have the radiator intercooler setup for the M939s. Ive done lots of mods to the small cam motors and driven one all over the country a few dozen times

    M939A1 NHC Turbo

It increases rail pressure. You can put a gauge on it to monitor rail pressure at the fuel solenoid.
  19. simp5782

    M939A1 NHC Turbo

Drill the metal ball out from the throttle shaft and turn the screw counter clockwise

    M939A1 NHC Turbo

You probably don't have the rail pressure from the injection pump to spool the turbo
