    Stemco seals are the best IMO. Make sure to clean the vents out or add hose vents since it has been sitting for a bit

    It was a standard 915/916 part. Similar to what the 5 ton uses. The military original idea was to keep oil and grease separate and use that seal to prevent water intrusion etc. They don't work IMO and lead to burned up spindles etc.

    The outer seal was used to keep the bearings in grease and the axle oil separate. I leave em out and make em oil bath
