The only thing I could think of that could make it any better is some sort of water sensor on the inlet line to shut a solenoid valve to the bowl and shut off the centrifuge. Or a water sensor that would drain only the water off of the heating tank would be awesome!:-D

Not much is plug and play but I put my system together and it works great. NICE BOWL! avengeusa! I clean my bowl about every 55gal with a rag while hot and you remove about a 12oz can size of crud (looks like axle grease) from the sides. Avengeusa as a metal fabricator how about making an...

I love mine! I was filtering home heating oil(old) and ended up filling the bowl with solids! I don't get as much junk in wmo or wvo. Since I changed the filter on the CUCV I have no problems. The filter kit is a Walmart item in the back near the boating supplies. I picked up two barbed...

Great! Hey when you get your bowls done pm me with a price I have a buddy who wants one but doesn't want to pay simple centrifuges price.:-D

The rotor is about 3" deep also it looks like a bowl with a 1 1/2" lip at the top. Google Simple centrifuge for picts.

The basic set up is easy if you have welding skill. imagine two bowls one with a diameter of 14" and another with the diameter of 8" the 8" one is slightly(about 2") shorter than the 14" one so the rotor that fits inside can sling oil on to the 14' one. Both have individual drains. This is the...
  8. stampy

    100% used motor oil fuel.

The above thread speaks of filtering sometimes down to .5 microns, I think that takes care of abrasives. As to the used motor oil, it is a petroleum product and blended with gasoline or another thinner should run in a multifuel fine. I would not run mine on it exclusively but I see no harm in...

I agree stretch! the diesel craft runs off of oil pressure which can change the speed of the centrifuge and thus its effectiveness. When I did my research Simple seemed like the best and I have been very happy with mine. Important note in cold climates you will still get gelling of wvo. The...
  10. stampy

    100% used motor oil fuel.

Sure! I actually bought the bowl before they started making the whole deal. Then I found a guy on ebay who built the whole thing and ended up buying his unit(and trading him my bowl for a better price). While the build is straight forward enough on the unit it requires machining capacity that I...

Also standard disclaimer is( said in my best aw shucks voice) "this is what I do"...you can do what you like. I offer no warranty or take any liablity for your system. After years of running diesel vehicles on other than straight diesel (no problems) I think I have a pretty good idea what works...

No problems here is a better description. Mine is a "Simple Centrifuge". I heat the oil (with a drum heater) to about 120 deg F( less than a standard water heater) and run it through once! it is easy in my setup. 55gal drum on stand gravity feeds the centrifuge, I set it and walk away. I do...
  13. stampy

I have a centrifuge and love what it takes out of the waste oil and wvo I run in my truck and cars. I filtered before I fuged and filters work great too. a centrifuge catches down to .5 micron which saves you money in the long run but the centrifuge is expensive mine was 1500$ but I figure I...
  14. stampy

As with anything you are the final person to determine what works for you! A well maintained vehicle can run a wider amout of "junk" fuel than a poorly maintained one.

Hi guys I thought I would throw in my 2cents. I have a centrifuge and have been running wvo cut with diesel in my Mercedes 300sd for over a year. The centrifuge(simple centrifuge is the name of the company that makes the unit or the bowl) removes down to .05 microns yes half a micron. It removes...
