That's the pdf of the manual. I did all my studying from it at home. Don't bother with the Non-CDL though. You'll have to get the CDL unless you meet an exemption. Good luck.[thumbzup]
AAAAAAAHHHH!!! I went to GA DDS to get my Non-Commercial class A. They won't give me one. They said it is exclusively for firemen, military personnel, and farmers. The stupid website does not say anything about exclusively but... So anyway they made me take the exams for CDL class A general...
That's right, Rog it was a schedule F they require. I couldn't remember the jargon.
I agree the mileage limit is sorry. Here, the 150 mile radius is "air" miles. So how does a trooper write you for a violation on that. He doesn't know how far it is as the crow flies. Silly. And with the...
OK I think I have the GA rundown now. Some of you guys have different stuff going on for CDL exemptions in your respective states. There's a farm exemption , but it's only a seasonal permit in GA to be used 180 days out of the year, can only be operated within 150 air miles of the farm, and I...
Hey thanks. You guys keep complimenting the truck and that helps me feel like it was worth the price.
If you really are "in the middle of nowhere in N. GA", then we must be next door neighbors cuz that's exactly where I am...
Yeah I know the limit is 26000lbs. And I found the exemption for farm use. Also an exemption for recreational vehicle. Has to be registered as such. Some rich boys around here have big tractor trailers with custom living quarters they pull their silly race cars with and they skip the CDL...
Hey another thing guys, could I get in trouble for not having a CDL driving this? If you live in GA that would be helpful too. I know if you register a tractor for farm use and operate within 150 miles you can skip the CDL. Wonder about personal use. Does the truck have airbrakes? Tell me...
Hey all of you guys have been outstanding! What a fantastic group of people! Everybody is kind, willing to help, and nobody talks a bunch of junk. Glad I joined. think I'm gonna like it here. Keep the suggestions coming. I really appreciate them.
Very good advice as well. You guys have all been very helpful. I think I'm gonna do both. See if I can go inspect while EUC is clearing and also try to get a hauler lined up. Another user said he got his for 1.75 mile. That's very reasonable. I've driven lots of big trucks and have a fair...
To be honest I'd really rather go that route (driving). Save me alot of $$$. I thought about calling the site manager and seeing if I could come inspect the truck while I'm waiting on the EUC. (yes I know I was supposed to do that before I bid) It wouldn't be too bad a trip in the lil Honda...
If that's your truck on your avatar it's super -nice! Thanks for that little story. From what you guys are saying it's starting to sound like shipping is the way to go.
Do you mind if I ask who you had haul it, and were you satisfied with them?
